Join the Live Webcast from Parliament House

We have some exciting news for you. This Sunday you can watch the historic live webcast of the National Day of Prayer and Fasting in your own home or even in your church service.  From 10AM to 4PM (AEDT) Sunday, 2 March 2014 the Prayer Service in the Great Hall of Parliament House will go out electronically from Canberra to a potential one million viewers all over Australia and around the world. Yes, last year we had a technical glitch with the webcast but this year we have worked very hard to make sure this will not happen again. We have engaged the services of Rob Roytel, a very experienced webcast engineer to ensure it is of the highest standard possible. This live webcast will make it possible for churches, fellowships and individuals across Australia and beyond to join in this history-making event.

Through this webcast it is hoped that many Christians will be moved to pray for REVIVAL and a renewal of sexual purity across our land. 

 

Just today we had a Perth church of 2,000 say they were committed to taking part in the National Day of Prayer and Fasting and the 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Another church of 1300 in Brisbane said they were making praying for our nation the whole focus of their service this Sunday and are encouraging their people to pray and fast for the next 40 days. The response this year to this challenge to pray is better than it ever has been.

 

We have Aboriginal Christian leaders from all over the nation leading prayer for REVIVAL to conclude the service in the Great Hall this coming Sunday. Christopher Prowse, the Catholic Archbishop from Canberra is also excited to come, along with dozens of Christian leaders of many different denominations, to lead prayers for revival in our nation. Maybe he has been inspired by Pope Francis' personal plea for unity and renewal in the wider body of Christ. See this amazing video from Pope Francis.  

 

We need the refining and cleansing fire of the Holy Spirit that will result in wholeness and sexual purity in the Body of Christ. We need to cry out to God for REVIVAL! True REVIVAL begins with the Church and results in changed hearts and the transformation of society. We sense an urgency about this as never before.

 

May we encourage you, once again, to take part in the National Day of Prayer & Fasting and the 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting wherever you are - in your family, among your friends or in your church. A statement, prayer and 1-hour sample program are available here. You can also make use of the live webcast from the Great Hall of Parliament House. It's not too late to REGISTER for these events. All the details you need to know are in this letter sent to all registrants last Saturday. 

 

We are in this titanic spiritual battle for our nation together! Australian Christians are praying for our nation as never before. This is an exciting time to be alive. Together we can make a difference.

Australia asks for Prayer from USA & the World  

Live Global Webcast of Australia's Day of Prayer & Fasting

 

This Saturday 1st March 2014, a live webcast will make it possible for churches, fellowships and individuals across the USA, and around the world, to join in Australia's historic 4th National Day of Prayer and Fasting.This Prayer Service in Parliament House, Canberra (Australian time - Sunday 10AM - 4PM, 2 March 2014) will go out electronically to up to a million viewers. Many Christians will be moved to pray for REVIVAL and a renewal of sexual purity not only in Australia, but around the world.

 

Commenting on the need to turn back the tide of immorality affecting Western nations, Pastor Matt Prater, Chairman of the National Day of Prayer and Fasting, shared "I am passionate about these issues, and I think there is an appropriate way to speak out about them. But I believe if we pray and fast we have a much better chance of success than if we try to change things by our own efforts." 

 

David Rowsome said, "The organising team behind the Australian National Day of Prayer & Fasting recently organised the worldwide Billion Souls Revival Prayer Call with over 45 nations taking part. The National Day of Prayer & Fasting is asking the nations of the world to go to the live webcast and pray for Australia. We thank you in advance for your prayers."
