 EECS PHD Students  Francois Callewaert and Erdem Cicek have won awards for "Breakthrough in Human-Oriented Applications," at the  SPIE WEST 2014 Conference, which was held February 4-6, 2014 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

 

Both students are advised by Prof. Manijeh Razeghi (who presented a keynote talk at SPIE WEST 2014 Conference on Wednesday February 5, 2014) and are part of the Center for Quantum Devices.

NU Machine Learning is super excited to host an industry panel discussion at 5:30pm in Tech Room L324 on Wednesday, February 19, with Civis Analytics, Clarity Solution Group, Dotomi, and Groupon!!  Come learn about how machine learning is being applied at these great companies!   

 

The event will be a typical informal panel group discussion, beginning with a brief introduction (5 - 7 minutes) by each representative company, a questions from a moderator, and then onto Q&A from the audience!
