We invite you to join us for worship this week at 9:30am or 11:00am. The Adult Education class (meets in the Grange, next door) and Sunday School begin at 9:30am.
Don't be late! Spring Forward! Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend. Remember to turn your clocks forward one hour before bedtime on Saturday!

Winter Weather Reminder: If severe weather requires a service or event to be canceled, every effort will be made to notify church members. Information can be found on the church's website, at WBZ (look under "school closings"), and on our telephone's recorded message (978-443-9151). Remember to use good judgment and don't venture out if conditions feel unsafe.

Worship this week - March 9th
|
Dr. McIvor's sermon is "Fallen! Can We Get Up?" based on Genesis 2.15-17, 25, 3.1-7. Genesis tells a fascinating story about our race's parents and a serpent. Theologians say the story is about humanity's "fall." What does that mean for us today? More importantly, if we really are fallen, can we get up?

 On Sunday, March 16th from 6:00-8:00pm, we will have a unique fundraising event. Meats and Sweets includes a Chili Cookoff and and apple pie auction! The apple pies to be auctioned will be made by our students attending the mission trips (with much love & care and the assistance of a select few head bakers.) Cost is only $5/person, $15/family for chili and, if you choose to participate in the auction, whatever your winning bid may be on an apple pie! So bring your best recipe! (Or just eat!) Sign up on sheets posted in the lobby or online here and let us know how many people are coming and if you are bringing some chili, salad or bread. Proceeds will help fund the Youth Group Mission trips. |

Presbytery Meeting
PCIS will be hosting the Presbytery meeting on Monday, March 24th, starting at 6:00 pm. We need to provide 100 meals. You can sign up to provide entrees, salads, sandwiches, or desserts on the sign up sheet in the foyer on online here. We also need volunteers to help with clean-up at 7:00 pm when the meeting moves to the Sanctuary. If you have questions, please contact Ted Welte.

On behalf of the DeHoff Family, I wish to express sincere appreciation for the lovely flower arrangement that represented PCIS at Mom's memorial service.
After the service many of the arrangements were sent to Blue Ridge Christian Home, where Mom had lived the last two weeks of her life, and where Dad is currently living. The arrangement from the PCIS family, however, was taken to the cemetery by the whole family...

Our Youth Group will be participating this summer in a "Workcamp". Workcamps are week-long mission trips where youth groups work hard repairing homes for people in need, while experiencing the amazing power of community to accomplish God's work.
