MDOT I-96/US-23 Construction Project Update:
1. Starting Thursday, June 11, the two Park and Ride carpool lots off of Spencer Road at I-96 will close (reopening sometime around July 29, 2015).
2. For a 7 hour block of time (only), between Friday, June 12 (after 10:00 pm) and Monday June 15 (before 5:00 am), Old US-23 will be closed to set beams for the new bridge. Emergency responders: please plan an alternate route.
3. Beginning Monday, June 15 (lasting approximately 40 days), the Spencer Road bridge over I-96 (only) will be closed. Note that all expressway entrance and exit ramps (except the Spencer Road eastbound entrance ramp to I-96), will remain open (just the bridge over I-96 will be closed to traffic). Emergency vehicles will not be able to cross the structure. Please plan accordingly. More information...
