It's Cookie Time!
Cookie deliveries are right around the corner! Be sure to check with your service unit cookie coordinator or product program specialist for the delivery schedule in your area.
It's also time to start scheduling cookie booths! Booth and direct sales run from February 7 - March 9. There are several ways to increase your troop direct sales. Maybe try a Cookie Caravan (decorate a van with washable markers and canvas a neighborhood together) or have a Cookie Drive-Thru at your local church, school, or business...the customers won't even have to get out of their cars! Girls can also buddy up for another door-to-door round, but bring cookies with them this time! For extra fun, pull them in a little red wagon!
Don't forget to call and reserve a cookie booth kit. For a $10 deposit, you can borrow a tablecloth and two cookie costumes for your booth or sale. Don't forget that boxes sold at booths and during direct sales count towards girls' recognition levels and troop proceeds.
Upcoming Deadlines:
February 7 - Service Center Cupboards Open
February 7 - Cookie Booths Begin
February 14 - Cookie Merchandise Orders are due
February 8-14 Service Unit Cookie Deliveries
February 28 - Initial Order Money is due

Are your girls ready to take action?
Participate in the 2014 GSMH Council-Wide Service Project: The P.A.W.S Project: Pets Are Worth Supporting. Stable News
"Hello from Sacajawea East and Cherokee Ridge Stables! The herd is healthy and doing well, but missing all the riders!"
The indoor riding arena provides a large riding area away from the elements. Laughter and YeeHaws are heard from the girls as they increase their horse knowledge and riding skills by navigating obstacles, learning reining patterns, and playing games.
Each month the Sacajawea Stable holds new themes. This December, girls enjoyed decorating a Christmas tree while on horseback and playing musical chairs!
When the weather gets a little warmer, you may want to venture further into the country and visit the riding program at Cherokee Ridge. After riding, troops and service units may hike, have a cook out, a scavenger hunts, utilize canoes or archery, or have a hayride to tour the camp!
The next event will be "All About Horses" for Girl Scout Juniors, February 15, 2014, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. To schedule riding times for troops, service units, or individual Girl Scouts, contact Sandy Vaughn at 877-312-4764 x1514.
