"As the sun sets on 2013, BCACD continues to address those needs-by providing prevention and education, treatment, and recovery support services."
Burke Youth and their Families
Through SAP and ScIP, three counselors are in each Burke County public middle school and high school every week. They see over 700 students directly per year. Through education programs in the schools, including special assemblies and the Family Day event, SAP and ScIP counselors present BCACD's message to over 3,000 students, parents, and faculty members. Approximately 10,000 pieces of literature are distributed. BCACD provides educational programming to parents through ScIP, which any parent can attend, to learn about youth interventions and prevention.
