Moroccan Sweet
The colors of a confectionery and the designs of Moroccan tile come together in this springtime print on viscose jersey knit. The design is lateral, but does not look widening or stripey because of the modest contrast of colors. Soft raspberry, mint green, and light tangerine are highlighted with soft yellow. These colors flow to deeper shades, but always stay in a mid-contrast range. We love the look for dresses or tops this spring. 58 in   Imported from France

Kyoto This Asian-influenced print combines both linear and floral elements to produce a double border design on viscose jersey knit. Rich neutral shades of taupe, dark brown, and ivory support warm shades of golden tan and saffron. Great choice for tunic tops to show off the full expanse of this unique print. Check your current issue of Threads Magazine for an article on working with border prints. Border measures 19 inches at deepest point.

Sewing sophistication!

"I used the fitted sheath dress pattern from Ottobre woman spring/summer 2009 issue. I lined it fully with ambiance. I use a professional steamer to set and shape the wool when finished sewing. The fabric was absolutely a dream to work with."
                       Laurel

Laurel married the pattern and fabric beautifully. Simply elegant!

Laurel used the Back Room fabric, Beauport, a  100% wool flannel.  This shade of claret red is perfect for a tailored dress, suit or blazer for day wear.  Imported from Italy for Calvin Klein.
