Hoboken House Tour

This year, the Annual Hoboken House Tour on Sunday, Oct. 27, will feature 8 to 10 homes and condos graciously opened to visitors by Museum supporters to help us raise funds. Every year, the tour offers a fresh selection of traditional and contemporary homes and condos furnished in a wide range of styles.

This year's tour offers the coolest collection of homes we've ever assembled, with features that will appeal to technophiles and engineers as much as to fans of home design and decorating.

Highlights include:

  • A "passive home" with ultra-low-energy use features that save 90% on heating and cooling costs
  • A waterfront condo with "smart-home"  technology that allows the owner to use an iPad to controls lights, window treatments, and even the fountain on the terrace
  • A pair of condos with the latest kitchen appliances, geothermal heating/cooling, solar power units, and windows that switch from clear to opaque with a liquid crystal technology at the touch of a button.
  • A flood-ready home, whose first floor has been redone with power outlets, cabinets & appliances elevated several feet off the ground, an easy-to-clean epoxy-resin floor and indoor-outdoor furniture that can handle a little water, yet feel perfectly comfortable as a lounge area.

Plus, there are homes with period detail, interesting art collections and even the Hoxie House, a historic home on Stevens campus with amazing views.

The self-guided tour takes about two to three hours on foot. Houses open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. All tours start from the Museum, but the homes may be visited in any order. A map will be included in the House Tour booklet, available on the day of the tour. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the tour (Museum members pay $25).

Save time and money by buying tickets in advance. Buy your tickets now by clicking on the button below, before 6 pm on Saturday, Oct. 26.
