De blasio Declares July As 'Disability Pride' Month in New York  

There's a new reason to celebrate in New York!  In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act, Mayor de Blasio had declared July as "Disability Pride Month" and hosting a parade to commemorate the landmark legislation. The month-long commemoration and the parade (which will happen for the first time on July 12) will be annual occurrences on the city calendar.
