Engineer of the Year!
OLA's President, Patrick Lynch was awarded Engineer of the Year by the New York State Society of Professional Engineers Westchester/Putnam Chapter at the Society's 43rd Annual Engineer's Week Dinner Dance on Friday, February 20th.
L to R: Matthew Lynch, Kathy Lynch, Pat Lynch, Maria Abbattista, Steve Abbattista, Gary Pommer, Robert Astorino, Kevin Plunkett, Doug Hahn

As the chapter's highest honor, Engineer of the Year was established to recognize a professional engineer for substantial contribution to the engineering profession.

Pat, who has been an engineer for almost 28 years, joined OLA in 1989, became a Partner in 1993, and was named President in 2001. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in 28 states, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and a LEED Accredited Professional (AP). He serves on the Board of Directors of The Business Council of Westchester, and is a member of the Board of Governors of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester.

"There are many influences that brought me to be in a position to accept this award, from the mentors that dedicated their time to my career, to trusted relationships with both colleagues and clients. This truly is a recognition for OLA not one individual from OLA," said Lynch. "My goal is to pay it forward by nurturing the next generation of engineers, and encouraging as many as possible to pursue their PE license and to take a leadership role in our industry."

How can an Energy Advisor advise you?

Understanding the way your building is operating means having control over monthly utility bills and your impact on the environment.

Our engineers serving as energy advisors passionately and meticulously examine your building performance to provide you with the tools to lower monthly costs and decrease carbon emissions.

How?

Utility Bills : We review monthly utility bills, document consumption and cost into an organized and detailed report.

BMS Trending Information: What are the occupied and unoccupied space temperature setpoints? What are equipment operational hours? Do you have equipment running that should be off? We ask all of these questions and review operational strategies to provide energy saving opportunities.

Quarterly Assessment : With compiled data, our team provides an initial assessment of the potential savings, implementation cost, and simple payback.

Why?

It works! We continue to save for our clients and when changes are implemented the savings can be significant.
