Greetings,
Now that summer has officially arrived and we are drying out a bit, it is time to say THANKS to our partners during the last part of Chamber Music Tulsa's season. We are particularly grateful to those that made our Any Given Child week with the Imani Winds so richly satisfying. In addition to performing for nearly 3,000 fourth graders in Tulsa Public Schools, the Imani Winds also presented some community outreach performances. These events were not only well-received, they were lots of fun!
Here is a link to a short video of Imani Winds performing for the 4th graders All Souls Unitarian Church hosted a free evening concert and CMT is grateful for the invaluable assistance of All Souls music director, Rick Fortner, for making that possible. Rudisill Regional Library also acted as host for an evening concert and thanks go to Rudisill manager, Keith Jemison, for making arrangements for a truly great evening. This exciting week was made possible by significant underwriting help from the community. CMT is especially grateful to the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation for a lead matching gift of $10,000. To meet this challenge, gifts and pledges were received from Robert Babcock, Bob Donaldson, Earl and Janie Funk, Mary Ann Hille, Ian Kiefer, OneGas, Beth Rainey, Tom Warburton, and Emily Wood. We are also extremely grateful to Jackie Cooper Nissan for their support of our various residency projects. Once again, they provided a van for our guest artists during the Any Given Child week. We are so pleased that our guests had the opportunity to drive around Tulsa in comfort and style.
