First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to all our members celebrating a graduation this season. We have many Impact 100 members, daughters, sons and relatives who are graduating and moving on to new opportunities and challenges. We send our best wishes for for a future filled with success and good luck.
The last few months have been filled with a variety of opportunities for members to network and socialize with each other. After learning about the critical needs of the Greater Cincinnati community at March's IMPACT EDU, May brought the opportunity to hear about a former grant recipient while enjoying a delicious dinner prepared by Garnish Catering's Kim Baretta. We learned about the many children benefiting from the CancerFree Kids - Impact 100 Family Pet Visiting Center, and about the research being conducted by Children's Hospital to document the benefits of the center.
As Cincinnati prepares to host the national "All Star" baseball game, Impact 100 prepares to host the "All Stars" of the non-profit world - our Grant Review Finalists. Our Grant Review process is proceeding smoothly, and each of the five Focus Area Grant Review Committees has narrowed the field to just a few agencies for site visits. The site visits are well underway, and the Committees are now engaged in the very difficult work of selecting their Finalist. We are on track for our "Meet the Finalist" Event on June 23rd and the Annual Awards Celebration on September 15th
. Please SAVE THESE DATES.
That brings us to our final topic - our request that you help support the sustainability, viability and growth of the Impact 100 organization. We have already begun the recruiting season for 2016 membership, and we REALLY need your help. Please invite a friend to join. Bring a friend/future member to an Impact 100 event. The "Meet the Finalists" event and the Annual Awards Celebration are two wonderful opportunities to introduce a friend or colleague to Impact 100. If you invite them today, you can get these dates on their calendars! With your help, we can make this year's theme a reality: "SPREAD THE JOY. SPREAD THE IMPACT."

Tis the season for graduation, weddings and Impact 100 finalists! Interested in helping Impact 100 newbies connect? Become a liaison!
We are looking for liaisons to help keep our new members sticky and engaged with Impact 100 throughout the year. It's a pretty simple role - we give you the names of 10-20 people that joined Impact 100 in 2015 and soon 2016! We ask that you touch base with them by phone, email, snail mail - whatever works for you and them about every other month between now and year end. The time commitment is pretty minimal. Our new member mom, Daniela Neukam will provide you with a script and guidance which you can choose to use or not. Please contact Daniela at

News from our Impact 100 Chicago Chapter
|
|
Watch to see the latest happenings from our sister chapters in Chicago. Presently, they operate two chapters, a City Chapter and a Suburban Chapter. In 2010, they started with 126 members, and are proud to announce that in this, their 5th year, they have grown to a combined membership of 485 women from all over the Chicagoland area. Collectively, Impact 100 Chicago will award four $100,000 Impact Grants this year and as of June of 2015, they will have awarded over $1.3 million dollars to local non-profits!

 Who I am?
I was born in London, England, but after living lots of other places all for fairly short periods of time, I arrived in Cincinnati 30 years ago. I live in Newport with my two dogs, Sushi and Daffy, close enough to my daughter and her family so that they are a big part of my life. I've changed my career path every time I've changed my job (which is a lot) but for the past five years I have been lucky enough to serve as the Executive Director of the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. During that time I have become a huge Bengals fan, not so much for the football but for the nice human beings so many of the players are-and of course because Marvin is a great human being, and has done much for Cincinnati.
What got you involved in Impact 100?
I learned about the organization years ago when I worked at National City and liked the idea of women pooling their resources to make a substantial difference in the community. Then about 5 years ago I started getting invitations to your networking events. After attending a couple alone I invited my daughter, Rhiannon Hoeweler, to join me and we were just SO impressed with what we heard and who we met that we were hooked.
What keeps you a member?
Our first year, 2013, we joined a committee and just had a great time. We met some really impressive women and made some great friends, all the while learning much about a lot of different non-profits and the great things they are doing to make this a better place for those less fortunate than the Impact members. The process is engaging and rigorous and we know that our money (along with yours) is going to do much to help our neighbors.

TO USE THE KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM:
- Please register online at krogercommunityrewards.com
- Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with Impact 100 after you sign up.
- If you do not yet have a Kroger Plus card, they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.
- Click on Sign In/Register
- Most participants are new online customers, so please click on SIGN UP TODAY in the 'New Customer?' box.
- Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions
- You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email.
- Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
- Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
