SEPTEMBER 16-20
vol 2 | issue 4

Read this week's column and review all the academic related information you need to know for the week ahead.

"The season of the harvest moon - September's lovely moon - approaches. The harvest moon is the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox (September 23  of this year). I have been enjoying over the last few days the moon's steady growth toward its harvest fullness as it hovers over my Winston-Salem vegetable garden. Just this week, on September 8, Venus danced up close to the moon and together they lit up the sky in their own unique and peculiar ways. Much wisdom dwells in those lunar phases we glimpse from earth as the moon makes its way toward September's harvest."

Last Call for Registrations for Elevating Preaching Conference - Monday, September 23, 8:30am - Wait Chapel | If you plan on attending, you must register online TODAY.  We have a strong line-up of some of the best teachers of preaching in the country: Anna Carter Florence, Thomas G. Long, and Luke A. Powery.  Because of the strength of this conference line-up, there will be no regular class meetings from 9:00am to 4:00pm that day, so that each of you can participate in this conference. The conference is free for students (and includes lunch), but we need you to register so that we can have a lunch count and so that we can assign you to a small group for lunch.  The lunch hour will be a lunch and learn session in small groups with the guest preachers, providing a great opportunity for more informal conversations about preaching.
