Local author Bette Freedson will be here to talk about her book Soul Mothers' Wisdom : Seven Insights for the Single Mother which was published this year. After raising two children on her own, Bette Freedson, a clinical social worker, was inspired to write her 198-page book to encourage and inspire other single mothers. The book draws heavily from Freedson's own personal life experience, from her clinical knowledge, and from the inspiring stories of other single mothers. Copies of the book will be available for sale at the event.

Hoopla is a new service coming in June to the Library which provides patrons downloadable and streaming access to digital movies, tv shows, music, and audiobooks. Simple to access and use, without the hassle of having to return the items you've borrowed, all you need is your library card, a web browser, smart phone or tablet to get started. Game Night

Game Night in May was a huge hit with over 25 people coming to play tabletop games at the Library with friends and neighbors. Folks met new people, enjoyed several games, and reluctantly left at closing. We did a survey and determined that Wednesday works best for most, and people seemed excited to have a regular game night; therefore, we will have a regular monthly game night at the library. We will hold it on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm, so June's date will be June 17th. A big thank you to Diversions Puzzles and Games Store who donated many games, and had staff show up in May to help with Game Night, and thanks to everyone who filled out a survey. We appreciate your feedback!
