Motorola to Host MEM Networking Eve nt and I nformation Session
Alum ni, current and prospective students join u s on May 6th 
The MEM program will be having a networking event and information session from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6th at Motorola Mobility in downtown Chicago. The information session will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will allow prospective students to learn more about our MEM program. The session will be followed by a networking event with Motorola employees, current/prospective students, and alumni from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can sign up for the information session, the networking event or both, but you must RSVP. Navigant Business Strategy Competition 
Student Advisory Board organizes event, including other Northwestern Schools
 

Teams will participate in creating a project strategy for a business in the healthcare industry. Their analysis will be for a small biotechnology company that is evaluating clinical trials for FDA approval of a patented drug that could change the way diabetics intake insulin. The competition is open to students enrolled in the MEM program and other Professional Masters programs, School of Law and Feinberg School of Medicine. The kick-off information session was held on Friday, April 10th with over 25 students in attendance and hosted by MEM Professor Mohan Rao.  Competition finalists will present their findings to a group of professors from Northwestern's engineering and law schools and executives from Navigant on Saturday, May 30th at 1:30 PM (Hosted by Navigant: 30 South Wacker Drive). The winning team will get a $1500 prize!

 

 

MEM Student Advisory Board Plans Second Fridays Events

MEM's Student Advisory Board (SAB) will be hosting a networking and socializing event each second Friday of the month. April's event was hosted at Haymarket Pub and Brewery in downtown Chicago. Be sure to check out our Facebook and Twitter page for upcoming Second Friday events!

Veronica Babridge 
Veronica is an MEM student from Detroit, Michigan. She loves to travel and mentor undergraduate engineering students. The MEM classes she finds most impactful are s trategic management, operations excellence and leadership and organizational behavior. Veronica's favorite part about the MEM program is, "With the successful completion of each class, you feel empowered and better equipped to make a difference where businesses intersect technology." She also works as a program manager for Navistar.
