The mission for all our youth activities is that students come to know Christ and develop a relationship with Him in order to equip them to lives as his disciples.
Fall Kick-Off
Join us on September 15 @ 5:00pm at the Yancey's house for the beginning of another great year together.
Sunday Morning Church School
Youth classes begin at 10:45 am and end at 11:45 am. This is a time where we study the Bible, the things of God and the sacred acts of worship to develop a deeper understanding of God and ourselves. Our goal is to apply this knowledge and deeper understanding to our daily lives. The entire Sunday School brochure may be viewed here.
Sunday Evening Fellowship
Fellowship is for all youth (6th grade -12th grade). We meet from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the church with dinner from 5:00 pm-5:30 pm. This program emphasizes our relationship with Christ and with each other providing service, recreation, and worship opportunities.
Wednesday Night Bible Studies
Youth Bible studies are divided by grade levels and meet in the homes of our Bible study leaders. The purpose of these groups is to commit to a weekly gathering time to intentionally learn more about Jesus and the Bible. We make a commitment to each other in heart, spirit, friendship, and vulnerability for an extended period of time. This is a time when we build a deep relationship with God through the study of the Bible and through sincere relationships with one another.
Confirmation
Traditionally in denominations who believe in infant baptism, Confirmation Class is provided by the church as the means of formally instructing younger ones in Christian faith. This instruction prepares them, if they so choose, to make a public declaration of their allegiance to Jesus Christ and become a full member of the Church. The Confirmation Class at EPC Longview is open to any 6th grader interested in this kind of instruction. Confirmation Class will meet at the church for six consecutive weeks beginning Wednesday, September 11 and concluding Wednesday, October 16.
