WPH is busy planning our core projects for 2014-15

business-meeting-convo.jpg On a yearly basis WPH is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to complete four projects that aid workforce planning and development in Hamilton.  Our core projects for 2014-15 will include:

1. The Employer One Survey: An annual survey which gathers information from local employers on their evolving skills requirements.

2. Skills Analysis of Hamilton's Economy (Phase 1 of 2): The key sectors of Hamilton's economy will be examined to better identify evolving and increasing skills requirements.  Phase 2 will take place in 2015-16 and will include an awareness campaign to engage job seekers in career exploration.

3. Apprenticeship Demand in Hamilton: Employers will be interviewed to determine the current and future demand for skilled trades occupations that have an aging workforce.

4. Global Hamilton Conference: A half day conference will be presented for internationally trained professionals focusing on communication in the workplace.
