Outfest West Hollywood Film Series: Capote

Wednesday, Mar. 5, 7:30pm

West Hollywood City Council Chambers

625 N. San Vicente Blvd.

Outfest pays tribute to the recent passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman with a retrospective screening of his Academy Award-winning role as author Truman Capote. The effete toast of New York high society, Capote shocked his peers by traveling to Kansas to investigate a horrifying local murder and writing what would become a groundbreaking "non-fiction novel," the iconic "In Cold Blood." Roger Ebert observed, "Philip Seymour Hoffman's precise, uncanny performance as Capote doesn't imitate the author so much as channel him, as a man whose peculiarities mask great intelligence and deep wounds." To buy tickets, click hereTickets are $10, $6 for Outfest members.
