Welcome to the 14th Annual presentation of the
Ethical Sourcing Forum
Supply Chain Transparency: Then and Now
The Ethical Sourcing Forum is an annual summit for building and sharing knowledge on solving supply chains challenges through hands-on workshops and interactive panel discussions led by industry experts. Members of this knowledge community include companies, academics, service providers, policy makers, members of government and non-government organizations and expert consultants.
Increasing offshored, outsourced manufacturing, increased access to information through the internet, global media and social networks, and rising regulations are changing the way companies think about Corporate Social Responsibility. Additionally, while some companies have excelled in terms of supply chain responsible practices, many of the same problems that plagued CSR pioneers 20 years ago continue to challenge companies today.
What new models and large scale, 'meaningful' systems are proving most effective?
How are companies and stakeholders resolving issues of supply chain transparency, and to what depth is reasonable?
With transparency and increased awareness, comes increased responsibility and commitment.
The future of ethical sourcing is here now, with progress unfolding rapidly through increasing transparency and traceability while transforming social and environmental impacts from negative to positive.
