84th AGM Wraps Up in Wheat City

 

This past weekend, The Brandon Chamber was pleased to host, and take part in the Manitoba Chamber Annual General Meeting. Over 100 delegates passed 18 new policy resolutions and voted in a new Board of Directors which includes the Brandon Chamber General Manager: Carolynn Cancade. Our President Todd Birkhan was recognized with the "Chamber Volunteer Award" for his continued contributions to his local Chamber.

 

Your Chamber was involved in resolutions focused on economic competitiveness and development, workforce, water/environment and tourism. These resolutions can be found online.

Grant Recipient: Zenith Paving was recognized as one of Manitoba's first Canada Job Grant recipients, allowing them to increase its employee training in safety and leadership.

 

Congratulations: Coach and General Manager, Kelly McCrimmon of the Brandon Wheat Kings has received the Lloyd Saunders memorial Trophy as the Executive of the Year.
