Harvard For Nepal

SAI has launched  Harvard For Nepal, a university wide initiative that aims to unite Harvard in response to the earthquake that devastated Nepal. 
Click here to learn more about Students For Nepal, a group of  students and professionals from the greater Boston area who stand in solidarity with Nepa l.

How you can help:
  • Contribute: The Nepal Research and Reconstruction Fund will provide support for projects in Nepal that are developed in partnership with local organizations, with a focus on Nepal's long-term reconstruction.
  • Attend: SAI will host a panel discussion on Thursday, May 14 at 4PM titled 'Consequences and Responses: Lessons from and for Nepal,' with a candlelight vigil at 7:30PM to follow. 
  • Connect: Our blog shares stories from Harvard affiliates working on the ground. Connect with us on Facebook and Twitter to stay updated.

SAI welcomes new members to its Advisory Council
SAI is honored to announce that KP Balaraj, Sumir Chadha, and Chandni and Mukesh Prasad have joinined SAI as the newest members of its  Advisory Council . We welcome Mr. Balaraj, Mr. Chadha, and Mr. and Mrs. Prasad to this distinguished group who support SAI's efforts to advance teaching and research on global issues related to South Asia.

Research spotlight: Mobile technology and healthcare

This research project aims to explore the use of mobile technology to provide healthcare services. SAI's Annual Symposium showcased three real-world case studies of unique applications of the technology in the health field.

Astu - So Be It sheds light on elderly care in India
In partnership with the Harvard Asia Center, SAI hosted a screening and panel discussion of  Astu - So Be It on April 29, a film that  aims to create awareness about dementia and elderly care in India.
