Semi-Soft Cheese
Butterkase
The term "semi-soft" is used to describe cheeses with a smooth, creamy interior with little or no rind. These cheeses are generally high in moisture content and range from very mild in flavor to very pungent.
Butterkase cheese is a semi-soft cheese with a golden natural rind. It's name literally means butter cheese, but the cheese is butter free. However, the appealing flavor and appearance makes it a great hit on the cheese board. Butterkase can be sliced, spread or melted and is great with a cold beer.
