15 Annual Community of Caregivers Conference with Jack Shea: Spiritual Resources for Stressful Times

Spiritual traditions have ideas, stories, and practices that are meant to enrich our lives and help us engage our limited and stressful situations. They contend we are always a little bit more than what is happening; and, therefore, we are able to forge creative responses that will shape situations along positive lines.

We will explore some of these ideas, stories, and practices and put them in dialogue with our personal and work experiences. In the process, we will adopt and adapt spiritual resources in a way that fits contemporary situations and help us realize that we are more than our circumstances.

          Participants will be able to:

• Position spirituality within whole person approaches
• Identify their spiritually significant experiences
• Engage and evaluate spiritual ideas
• Appropriate the wisdom of spiritual teaching stories
• Claim and appraise their spiritual histories
• Select and experiment with spiritual practices

Registration is $85 if paid by September 28, $95 after, and includes program, materials and lunch.  Please register by Friday, October 2.  Payment in full is due prior to arrival.
