HUFF RECOGNIZED AS 2014 ATHENA AWARD RECIPIENT

Sheila Huff, principal at Bosse High School, was recognized as this year's ATHENA Award recipient at the 23rd Annual ATHENA Awards Luncheon, presented in partnership with A Network of Evansville Women (ANEW) on Friday, Feb. 14.

Huff, who has worked for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation for more than 37 years, gives back to the Southwest Indiana community by serving on the YWCA board of directors, the Hillcrest Washington Youth Home board of directors, and the Indiana AdvancED board of directors.

CHAMBER UNVEILS 2014 LEGISLATIVE AGENDA
Our 2014 Legislative Agenda addresses our key objectives and highlights a few other priorities, as defined by results of a September 2013 survey to our members. Survey results indicated that five topics -- the completion of Interstate 69, development of our urban core, availability of flights from Evansville Regional Airport, support for the proposed medical education campus, and an education and career-ready workforce -- are of highest priority to our members.
