The 5th annual Alliance Fran�aise gala will support cultural and educational programs of the only French cultural center in Minnesota.

As we return to the former home of the Th��tre de la Jeune Lune, we remember the exceptional company of artists and their award-winning work.  The evening will feature Maud Hixson and the Twin Cities Hot Club, theatrics courtesy of the Walking Shadow Theater Company, a French feast, live and silent auctions & much more.

 Celebrate Francophone Cultures this March
 

This March we are celebrating Francophone culture with some fun and informative programs:
 
  • Sunday, Mar 23 at 3 pm, enjoy French music at Le Concert Francophone in the AF Grande Salle. Performances by Sylvain Paslier, Yvonne Peralta & Philippe Gallandat! RSVP to AF for advance ticket pricing: $10 AF members, $15 general public.
  • Friday, Mar 28 at 7 pm, Cin�Club will feature La Nuit de la Pub Francophone, a series of advertisements from Francophone countries. Discussion to follow. Free and open to the public! Films will be in French without subtitles.
  • Saturday, March 29 at 7 pm: MSP Film Society and the Consulate General of Canada present Bidonville: Architectures de la ville future. This documentary by Jean Nicolas Orthon seeks to address the housing problem in the age of urban overcrowding by looking at structures built on a human scale from a sociological and philosophical perspective. AF's Teen Club will be meeting for a tour en fran�ais of Matisse Masterworks at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. This tour is free and open to teens only. 

 

This club is for teens ages 14-17. All levels of French speakers are invited to attend. Speak French outside of your household or classroom!

Matisse Madness Third Thursday
 
Tomorrow! Thursday, Mar 20
6-9 pm at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts
 
Visit AF at the MIA tomorrow during their free Third Thursday, celebrating the arrival of Matisse Masterworks. AF instructors and volunteers will teach you more about this French master through vocabulary and activities. Free and open to the public!

French Summer Camps 
Une semaine en fran�ais

Through art projects, games and songs, campers will explore French language and cultures. Summer camps are one week long and are open to youth ages 4-18, with a variety of French experience. Families registering through April 30 receive a $25 early-bird discount.
