ThGFWC Atlanta Woman's Club and The Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV) are hosting the 

 Stand: A Movement. An Impact. A Legacy Luncheon

This event is intended to:

  • Recognize outstanding and innovative domestic violence program initiatives by GCADV member organizations.
  • Expand innovative domestic violence program initiatives by GCADV member organizations.
  • Expand awareness of domestic violence and statewide resources available to survirvors and their families.
  • Raise funds to enable GCADV to continue the critical work of empowering survivors and the organizations that serve them.
Doors Open at 1:00 PM for the Silent Auction.

Activities: 

  • Sunday Brunch
  • 'Beautiful You' Silent Auction of High-End Handbags and Accessories
Keynote Speakers Include: 
  • Kit Gruelle, renowned community educator and the subject of the HBO documentary Private Violence
  • April McConnell, Fulton County Assistant District Attorney Domestic, and domestic violence survivor and community advocate
  • Elaine Chandler, GFWC Georgia President, 2014-2016

Tickets are $40 and include Sunday Brunch.  Available June 8 - October 1.  Limited seating.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Attention

Please allow plenty of time for parking and keep in mind that the following events and/or traffic patterns may impact your arrival to the event.  Note that due to the events listed below, we cannot guarantee that parking spots at the above named locations will be available.   

  • The Atlanta Pride Parade is Sunday, Oct. 11 beginning at 1:00 PM with line-up starting at 10:30 AM. It will go up Peachtree Street starting at the Civic Center Station and turning towards Piedmont Park at 10th Street. Traffic and parking will be an issue. Please allow plenty of time to navigate traffic and to find parking. 
  • The Falcons have a 1:00 PM home game. Again, this may be a traffic issue for some of you.
