Thank you for taking part in the 8th Salute To The Military Sprint and Youth Triathlon.  Results are located at the following links and on our website:

Yesterday was a perfect day for multisport, great weather and all of us enjoying the Memorial Day weekend.  Thank you to our military rep Jose Ramos, for speaking today about serving and Memorial Day. Thank you Jose for your service and for coming out participating (as well as your first place age group finish) and taking the time to speak with us.

To all of those serving or have served and their families, Thank You!

Shout out on our 2 Overall Winners: Craig set another course record in 56:58 beating his own previous record by 2 minutes! Congrats Craig!   Lexi becomes the youngest person to ever be the overall winner at any of the BRATS triathlons in a time of 1:09:35!  Way to go Lexi!

Thanks to the   Owen Lea Foundation as they came up from Fredericksburg with half of our volunteers yesterday.  Please consider doing their 10k/5k race next Sunday, May 31st.

Great big thank you to the Bridlewaves Swim Team for filling in with many of our volunteers...Bob Miller you did an awesome job getting the vols from the team.  Also to the great Fauquier County Sheriff's patrols.

One of the goals when we started 8 years ago was to bring quality triathlons to our area at a low registration fee so we could grow the sport of triathlon in our communities and bring awareness to people that triathlon is a great family sport.  I think if you look around other triathlons and their fees we have met and I believe exceeded this goal throughout the years.  Especially for our youth which has always been our main emphasis.  One of my favorite things to watch is the swim start seeing all the energy and look of anticipation on their faces and then seeing them cross that finish line beaming with smiles and confidence knowing they just completed a triathlon!  Thank you all for being part of the 2000+ participants we've had the pleasure of not only putting on a triathlon for, but more importantly, watching take part in a sport that means so much to myself and my family.

If you have photos or would like to share of few words of your experience while doing the Salute over the years please post them on our facebook page so we can all reflect over the last 8 years.

Spread the word for the our Sizzling Summer Triathlon!  We want this one to be the best and biggest of them yet!  Teams: swim teams, triathlon teams, sports teams, and any other team that is out there...get your teammates involved.  If you have folks on your team that are 14 or over but don't want to do the whole tri, get them hooked up on relay teams.  Great way for an adult to interact with youth in our community is by the adult doing the bike while two youths do the swim and run!  Let's show some team spirit as well...bring you team tent, cowbells, hand clappers...you name it...lets have fun!

Please visit Hope For The Warriors and see how you can help support their great cause.

Thanks again and I hope to see you at the Montclair Triathlon and/or the Sizzling Sprint and Youth Triathlon.  Have a great Memorial Day Monday!
