Welcome Rhonda Hainer, Our New Guest Services Manager At RMH Riley We are pleased to welcome Rhonda Hainer to the RMHI team. Rhonda and her husband relocated to Indianapolis from Iowa two years ago. She brings with her a multitude of professional experience, most recently working as an adjunct faculty member at Scott Community College. "I am excited and honored to join the team at the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana. I have spent my life working with volunteers of all ages and stages in life. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you wonderful volunteers who give so generously of your time, talents and compassion to our guests. We could not be the House of love without you," says Rhonda. |
Operations Update Riley and Limestone
- When you are registering a guest and you ask them to read and sign the card, please ask them to check a box on ethnicity. Demographic information on who we serve is often requested when we apply to foundations for funding.
Limestone
- Please make sure that all documents with patient / family names and other personal information are discarded in the shredder box located next to the copy machine and NOT in the regular trash. We are all responsible for the security and privacy of our guests.
- We now have a recycling bin in the garage next to the trash bin. For now, this will be used primarily for discarding cardboard, metal cans, paper and plastics that we use in managing the House. Later we will look at how we can increase our recycling.
- If you happen to notice a report on the credit card machine, please do not throw this away. It is automatically printed nightly and is used to assist in reconciling our account.
- Please remember to check the communication binder for any updates that may have been made since your last shift.

Because your input is so important to us, we are interested in learning more about your perceptions and opinions regarding the RMHI and our volunteer program. For this reason, we are asking you to take a few minutes to complete our online survey by Monday, May 11. The direct link can be accessed below.

Look Who Was Caught Rolling Out The Red Carpet Connie Cripe, Guest Services Manager at Limestone, caught George and Marsha Gordon, Guest Services Volunteers at Limestone, demonstrating communication and teamwork. Connie wrote: "Marsha and George have been covering as Guest Services Supervisors since we have been short handed. We are so grateful and thankful for them to be available. Thank you Gordons! Thank you for your dedication to the Ronald McDonald House!" Dale and Diana Roberts, Guest Services Volunteer at Riley, caught Deb St. Pierre, Guest Services Volunteer at Riley, demonstrating friendliness and compassion, cooperation, communication and teamwork. Diana wrote: "Dale has been working with Deb St. Pierre and thinks she is really doing a great job! She talks to the parents in a very kind, understanding way, maybe because of her previous experience at the funeral home. She is a perfect match for the RMHI at Riley. She is a quick learner and is very willing to stay busy, helping wherever she can. Thanks for pairing her with Dale. They make a good team." Thank you Deb! __________________________________________________________ Congratulations, Deb! Your name was drawn this month in our Red Carpet Award drawing and your Crew's Carwash pass is in the mail. __________________________________________________________ Remember if you catch a volunteer or staff member rolling out the red carpet and demonstrating excellent customer service, please submit a nomination using the attached form listing the criteria.
