Dear Impression Maker,

The HIV/AIDS pandemic is still affecting so many lives in so many ways in Malawi, Africa.

The most recent statistics available indicate that HIV in women over 15 years of age increased from 430,000 in 2011 to 560,000 in 2012.

The number of children age 0-17 orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS increased from 610,000 in 2011 to 770,000 in 2012.

These are the women and children that Fingerprints Across Africa is working to bring hope, and a sustainable future to.

A Perfect Gift!!

Four female goats were given last year to four very needy women.  Two were HIV+ mothers whose babies were malnourished and on the verge of starvation.

Two were elderly grandmothers who were the sole support for many grandchildren.

We have recently received word from the Kondanani Community Center (where these goats were given) that the goats are multiplying greatly - many "kids" will be coming into the family in just a short time.

In addition to the goats, income from the chickens is being used to increase the salary of the teachers who are so devoted to the daycare and preschool there.  And they have purchased more chickens which will be ready to sell this month.

The latest acquisition has been two pigs.  It has been so exciting and encouraging to see how much hope and prosperity can come from the simple gift of goats!

Please take a couple of minutes and watch this video!
Thanks for the Goats!
