2015 FUNdraising Raffle
 
One of the ways that we empower the youth who come to our programs is to give them a fun and easy way to help fundraise for their own tuition and travel to Play in the Wild!.  For many participants, this is the first time that they have ever asked their community to support them.  One Wild! alum, originally from Morocco, shared with us a couple weeks ago about the incredible vulnerability he experienced sitting in a public place in his hometown and asking people he knew to contribute to his trip - and how he loved every minute of it.   It gave to his basic sense of mattering, in a way that he hadn't experienced before.

Our international raffle is a way for you to help fuel the efforts of these courageous young people.  The money from every ticket you buy goes directly towards the tuition of a youth who would like to come to Wild! this July, including youth coming to us from the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program.  Your donation, combined with the donations of all those in the youth's own community, makes it possible for them to come and have an experience of living Mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication, and Being Nonviol ence with peers from all around the world.

At Play in the Wild!, our fundraising raffle gives youth who need funds to attend our programs a fun way to connect with their community and get the support they need. By entering this raffle, you contribute funds that make it possible for youth to come to Wild! who might not otherwise have this opportunity - AND you get a chance to win one of over a dozen artisan-made prizes, including a handmade quilt!  It only costs $15 to enter the raffle, and all proceeds go directly towards youths' tuition for Wild!.

Palace of Stories ($73 value) - Over 30 hours of audio children's short stories by master storyteller Leo Sofer in high quality MP3 format. The 100+ stories in this collection are grouped by age range (3+, 5+, and 7+) and theme (i.e. Imagination, Connecting to Nature, Inner Strength, and more).

Handmade Silk Scarf ($95 value)  - Unique piece made by artist Julie Andr? in Quebec, Canada from 100% Silk crepe. Itajime Shibori Square design.

Handmade Wreath from Full Belly Floral ($65 value) - A gorgeous custom wreath by Full Belly Farm Florist and Play in the Wild! Animator Hannah Muller.

For every $15 you donate, we will enter a ticket in your name into the raffle drawing.

August 1st is the last day that we will receive entries.  We will film the drawing on August 6th with the youth from our Revolutions Retreat in Vermont, USA. The video will be posted online on August 10th and the winners contacted shortly thereafter.
