Week 18: "B" week
Oct 3, 2013

Need to take a week off?   sign into your account to schedule your share to be put on hold.

Need to know!
Skim all the rest, but please read this section.

Always Check the Roster. Thanks for always looking at the check list on the roster sheet.  Making sure we have listed what you are picking up after your name keeps things accurate.  With most of the sites as self serve, it is important that we have this step in the process.

More Recipes!
Did you know that you can click on any of the underlined items in the Box Contents section to get to a recipe or storage tip about that item?  Green items are links to recipes and blue items are linked to storage tips.

Photos.  Remember that we have a photo link for all of the items in your share to help with identification.  Find the link directly under the list of Box Contents. You can always contact the farm if you need clarification or have questions about something that you received.

Call if it's Not Right. If something isn't right with your box or at the drop site please make sure to call us.  Let us know and we will do everything we can to take care of it.

Featured Vegetable
Eggplant

Like the tomato and pepper, the eggplant is a fruit rather than a vegetable.  The various varieties may differ a bit in taste and texture, but can basically be described as pleasantly bitter a a bit spongy.  They are often used as a base flavor in more complex recipes because they tend to take up flavor from other ingredients very well.

Here's a nice autumn recipe.
Featured This Week at the Farm Store
Bolzano Old School Salami
Small batch and handcrafted, this down-to-earth salami is anything but simple. Aromatic garlic and rustic cracked black pepper play up the intensely savory and lightly tangy flavors of our blend of Certified Humane, antibiotic-free Berkshire, Red Wattle, and Hereford pork.

The Dirt on the Farm Bill
