GOVERNER DECLARES DROUGHT IN OREGON

Governer Brown declares drought emergency in five counties in Oregon due to the low snowpack. Fortunately, the metro area counties are not currently among those listed. However, 80% of Oregon and all of California are experienceing drought and we all need to do our part to conserve water, drought or not.

Pacific Landscape Management has always promoted water conservation and is the Portland/Vancouver metro area's leader in landscape water management and conservation. We start with proactive Irrigation System Maintenance to ensure each system, regardless of age, is operating at its most efficient state. We are currently finishing up the spring system activation of irrigation systems and while doing so, we perform many simple steps in addition to product repairs. We cut the grass away from all heads to ensure they apply water evenly without being blocked. We also raise heads and straighten those tipped to ensure maximum efficiency.

We will continue to evaluate new water management technology and propose to our customers those with the best ROI. Last week's newsletter outlined new advances in Weather Based Irrigation in which we have partnered with Rainbird to offer discounted upgrading of Rainbird existing weather based control with their new Rainbird IQ technology.

We work with many of the local water providers to help our customers take advantage of any incentives available. These include:

Tualatin Valley Water District

Portland Water District

Hillsboro Water District
