Farm News & Tom's ReflectionsA Healthy Promise!
When I drive Elisa, our daughter, to school in the morning I get a glimpse of the kind of things she pays attention to as we make the 20 minute drive through the back-roads of Watsonville, Corralitos, and Aptos to avoid the stop and go traffic on HWY 1. Community Farm DayApple U-Harvest - this Saturday, October 26th 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
The Fuji apple harvest is in full swing. They are so crunchy and sweet and few things rival eating them fresh, right off the tree. We invite you to pick your own this Saturday, October 26, starting at 10AM. We planned it so that you can also join us for our last community farm event of the year, our Harvest Festival. It should be loads of fun, with activities for everyone.
Bring your home baked pie to enter our contest and pick some more apples to hold you over for the holidays. Farmer Tom will be giving tractor rides, so maybe he can even haul your harvest back to your car. Join us at our Green Valley Barn Farm Stand for directions to the U-Harvest orchard.
