Confirmation Sunday,
October 20
Confirmation Sunday is when we, as a church, celebrate our sixth-graders who have completed the confirmation curriculum.  The confirmands have studied and struggled with questions about God, the Bible, salvation, service, and many other theological issues and made a decision to publically confirm their baptism vows and celebrate their personal belonging to Jesus Christ.  As part of their faith journey, we ask them to stand before their congregation for encouragement, prayer, and accountability.  As members of this body, the confirmands need to know their responsibility to our God and to the church.  Furthermore, the church is reminded of their responsibility to them.  This service is not only celebration our confirmation class, but is also a time of renewal for our church body as a whole.  Please join us at worship on Sunday October 20th, 2013 to celebrate the work God is doing in all of us.  Our confirmands are: Katherine Burlingame, Ainsley Daugbjerg, Anna Manning, Brett Parks, Brenner Ratzlaff, and Mackenzie Wyche.
