Animal Communication with Joan Ranquet

February 2014

Greetings,

February holds the love holiday and the promise of spring being around the corner. I may speak for myself, but when you have beloveds in your home, you always have a Valentine to celebrate with! And as far as the oncoming of spring and the weather this winter, I imagine we are all voting for spring now!

There are still two days left to join me and Reiki Shamanic Rose De Dan in our Animals as Healers and Teachers winter class.  We had great fun last summer and this will prove to be another big animal healing adventure!

If you are in Seattle late Sunday afternoon, you can join me and a few other intuitive folks at East West Bookshop speak.

Replay and special offer available through the 20th of February through Elevated Existence. Register!

I have a lot to reveal in the next few months, the various lessons I learned from this last round of rewrites of the new book (with publishing date - TBA). One of the things that I have helped many people with over the years has been do it yourself acupressure points for the older dog or cat. This doesn't mean, don't go to Acupuncture, or massage or chiropractic, but there are many little things you can do yourself between appointments to keep your dog comfortable and maybe even more active.

My dog Olivia is 12 now. She is very active, yet, she has a weak hind end. She has been a teacher in my animal communication teachings since she was a puppy! Of course, she graciously is the model for the piece below (scroll down) called Dogs and cats of an exalted age! She will teach through to the other side, I'm quite certain. And, then some!

I know I talk a lot on FB or in my newsletters about EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping on people and animals and have had wondrous results. I have a "bonus" call about tapping on people and animals for the Tapping World Summit - if you purchase any part of the program.

If you want a full introduction, for free, to understand what all this tapping stuff is about, join the World Tapping Summit

I have an EFT class coming up - EFT for you and your animals in March. I will be offering a big EFT program to work on other people and animals .......always more fun ahead!kenya

Also, I am leading a trip to Africa with Essence of Life Retreats! August 1-15th.

This will be a once in a lifetime trip. Click Here for the details.

Trips

Join me on the Animal Communication Dolphin Trip!
Dates: June 8th - 13th, 2014
I experienced a healing within myself and witnessed my sister take a different strategy with an immune disease back in the early 1990's after our swim with the Dolphins. It is transformative and enlightening to feel that little moment of connection. On this trip we will experience those playful, soulful, magical moments with our Dolphin friends and expand those moments through time and/or consciousness.

Stroking, massaging and even just laying your hands over your animal's weaker spots, injuries or place of surgery can do a lot to increase circulation and breathe new life into the bones, muscles, tissues, tendons and or ligaments.

Whenever there has been an injury or an area that has slowed down, the chi or life force also slows down. Life begets life. Activity begets more activity. So, giving that area new life is very important in maintaining at the very least, if not healing. Like for all of us, nature will take its course for our animal companions. Some animals won't ever "heal" at a certain age, but we can keep them more active and comfortable.

If we think of a flowing river, that is the meridian system. Whenever there is an injury or a disturbance in the meridian system, it is like plopping a boulder right in the middle of the river. The water must move around the object (injury). The water may move with vengeance at the site, but other areas are cut off. Or, the water slowly moves around the boulder because it is so big. Either way, body work helps to evenly distribute the energy.

I am a big fan of acupressure. Like acupuncture, it is a leading healing modality. There are people that do it professionally, but it is certainly something you can do at home. You could have a dedicated time for it each day, or let your fingers do the walking while you're watching TV. Like acupuncture, it's based on pressure points that line the meridians. Acupressure helps anything from pain management to boosting the immune system and everything in between.

Acupressure points have a little depression, you'll know you hit one because it will have almost like a little groove. If you hit a "spot" sometimes, your animal will flinch, or hiss! I am sharing pics of a few basic points that help to move the chi/life force, the blood flow and will just feel pretty good in general.
There are a few super models in this little photo exhibit. Most of these pictures are the points here are along the spine or "bladder meridian". The acupressure point I do on the chest is called K 27 for Kidney 27. It is on the "Kidney meridian" and is a very powerful point, indeed. It can recharge all the organs.

While acupressure is very involved and complex and there are several books on the subject, I share a few pics to get you started with my favorite, go to points.

The other thing to consider while doing this little "treatment" is to massage the bottom of the feet and their toes. I know it's harder on cats - but worth the effort. This reminds the chi/circulation to come down to the feet and flow back up and around.

Blessings,
