During our time of sorrow, lets stand together and not pull it apart. Realize that each person is different and will grieve in ways you may not understand. Be patient and find ways to support each other. Disappointment and shock need to be expressed and released. Sadness and sorrow can be so heavy and paralyzing. You might struggle with this thought, but grief and anguish can be a blessing. No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. May the soul of Studley rest in peace. Matthew 5:4 - Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Cuando un amigo se va - Sunday night Bluwolf post I knew Studley very well, he was like a son to me, he was a gentleman and a good friend. His lost today and the news of his passing gravely has impacted my inner being creating a shock that will last my whole lifetime, my condolences to his family and love ones. I just got a message for all of you out there, I do not wish to ever here that I have lost another one of you falling into pain or depression, there is a God who loves you and is at everybody's reach, go to Him embrace Him, listen to him. You can count with me I am here for all of you 24/7, be strong and be blessed that is all that is important. May you rest in peace my dear friend, I am deeply affected by your departure my you have found solace with your one true God. With all my thoughts and love to all. A Farewell to a Good Friend - RIP Studley ~ Freeway Bill It was early in 2011 when I met Studley for lunch just a few miles from his home for the first time face to face after many telephone discussions. I had not pictured him the way he appeared. I walked in to find a tall, curly headed young man with a smile that could light up a room. We had a great lunch and we talked about everything from his past business experience, his family, his thoughts about GOD, his financial issues regarding his house to his beloved dog FiFi.... We spent, what started out to be an hour lunch that ended up being about a five hour visit. We laughed a lot. We planned about all of the great things we could do to help people once the RV occured. His heart was huge and we got along so well, it was like a visit with a brother from the beginning. He teased me about a mole I have on my upper lip and I joked about his "kinky" hair. I will never forget that day as it started a long term close relationship that even with his passing today, will never end. ....

10:26 PM [..OKIEOILMAN] GOOD EVENING FRIENDS. I WAS ON A CONFERENCE CALL JUST MOMENTS AGO AND WAS INFORMED ABOUT THE UN-TIMELY DEMISE OF STUDLEY.
STUDLEY (PETER) HAS BEEN IN THE DINAR COMMUNITY MANY YEARS AND IT IS A SHAME HIS DREAMS FADED AWAY BEFORE HE WAS PERMITTED TO SEE IT COME TO FRUITION.
THIS SHOULD BE AN OBJECT LESSON TO EACH OF US TO RECOGNIZE THERE ARE OTHER THINGS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN AN R/V.
WE EACH SHOULD PAUSE JUST A MOMENT AND REFLECT ON WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO US, OUR FAMILY, OUR COUNTRY, OUR LOVE AND RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER AND ESPECIALLY OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR SAVIOR.
I KNOW WHAT THE LOSS OF A SON DONE TO ME THIS YEAR AND IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR HEART DEEP WOUNDS TO HEAL. I WOULD ENCOURAGE EVERYONE AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME TO STOP WHAT YOUR DOING AND REFLECT ON WHAT SHOULD BE YOUR PRIORITIES.

Calls for the creation of a twinning between local banks and foreign
The Finance Committee from Parliament is asking the CBI to create a bank of twinning between local and foreign banks to promote Iraqi banking....in fact the committee demanded this effort by the CBI....
it should prove interesting to see where this "demand" goes.....the committee also wants this effort done ahead of any development of the Iraqi banking system....not sure who it is in the committee that is calling for such action...but give it a few weeks and watch the results...IMO.

When The Governor Of The CBI A Few Weeks Ago At The Banking Conference In Dubai Said To The GOI, We Would Love To Help You Sell Your Bonds But You Need To Pass Your Budget First. He Was Referring First, Of The Need In Having A Line Item In The Budget That Will Pay The Coupon On The GOI Bonds. Second He Was Stating The Need To Pass The Investment Banking Law. Among Many Thing It Will Empower The Banks In Iraq To Interact With The Public To Buy/Sell The GOI Bonds. Like Goldman & JP Morgan Here In The States That Buy/Sell US Debt. I have been operating on the belief that the PTB are interested in an RV, or at least a drastic increase in value of the currency, and stand to make a lot of money when it does. I no longer believe that to be true.
It looks to me like the PTB are happy to let it go along at it's present rate. Consider that Maliki, who favors a weak policy, has managed to stay in office as long as he has, and appears likely to stay in power longer. Consider that, in spite my assumption that the Iraqi money supply has been reduced, it has not.
(I just spent some time on the CBI website, where it states that the Current M1 is 71 trillion dinar, and the M2 is 86 trillion, I believe it said). Unless the CBI is lying, the money supply is increasing- not decreasing.
Tlar - First let me explain that what is important to us is the currency that is circulating in Iraq only. Bank accounts, loans and even the new smart card are not important to our investment.

Not sure of the motive but does create drama especially if there is controversial content Pursuitoftruth: I have a friend who has a friend high level at IMF and last week he was told exactly what Mountain Goat said in the past.... This has been an IT nightmare and things have not gone according to plan because of it. They also believed they are at the end of it. SherlockDinar: Pursuit- is that really what your contact said?? TNT: Trapdoor: That budget is actually great news for us! It is estimated that before Iraq started pulling in the three zero currency, there was just over 30 trillion dinar in circulation. That budget means they would have to create 6 times more currency, physically or digitally, to support that. In an emerging economy, that would be devastating and create a hyper inflationary event that they would never recover from. Trapdoor: So, take that 174 trillion budget and divide it by 1166 (assuming only a 1:1 RV) and you get a more reasonable 147 billion dollar budget. At $3.50 it would be about 42 billion. I think that budget was written to reflect the rates they know are coming and will only have to readjust the numbers post RV. Kuu: another broke weekend.....anyone seen the elusive GCR? Another back wall date blown through? where are all of the providers? Oh well SSDD.... Trapdoor: People. There is NO BACKWALL. There never has been, there never will be.
