Did you know that the Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA) funds our seminarians for the Diocese of Orange? There are currently 35 men in seminary formation in six different seminaries.  Nine men are also currently discerning their vocations and will hopefully enter seminary formation in the late summer of 2015.

With your help, the 2015 PSA will grant over $1.1 million to support tuition, room and board, and books for our seminarians who, God-willing, one day will serve our Diocese faithfully as priests. Please keep them all in your prayers.

The 2015 PSA is off to a great start in all 62 parishes and centers of our Diocese of Orange!  If you have made a pledge to the 2015 PSA, we thank you. If you have not yet made your pledge, we invite you to consider pledging a gift that will make a difference in our PSA funded ministries and services and will allow your parish to earn significant rebates for their own important projects. Our 2015 PSA goal across the Diocese is $6,222,000. For more information about PSA funded ministries and services and to make a PSA pledge, visit our website. Pledge envelopes are also available through your parish.

The Orange Catholic Foundation and Catholic Funeral Plan are sponsoring the 2015 Wills and Trusts Week at nine locations throughout our diocese during the week of May 18 through 23.

Take steps to protect those you love with a new or updated estate plan. Through proper planning, the legacy of love and care that you leave for your family and friends can be encouraging and even inspiring.

If you have questions about how to begin or update your own estate plan, please join us at one of our nine sessions conveniently scheduled across the diocese.

BECOMING CHRIST CATHEDRAL
A ROADSHOW PRESENTATION

Christ Cathedral: A Transformation
VIDEO OF "CHRIST CATHEDRAL: A TRANSFORMATION"

Thank you to the many parishioners that attended our "Becoming Christ Cathedral: A Story of Faith and Transformation" series of roadshows! Between January 29 and March 19, seven parishes hosted an evening to learn how this center of faith will profoundly benefit the journey of faith for Catholics across our diocese.

Those attending received illustrative insights on the future of Christ Cathedral and its surrounding campus by Monsignor Arthur Holquin, the Rector Emeritus at Mission Basilica and Episcopal Vicar to the Office for Divine Worship. They experienced much of what more than 25,000 people have seen and heard who toured our "Becoming Christ Cathedral" exhibit in our Christ Cathedral Cultural Center. The essence of that presentation is contained in the video entitled Christ Cathedral: A Transformation.

Cindy Bobruk, the President and Executive Director of our Foundation, also presented an update on the success of the For Christ Forever Capital Campaign. She provided details on the grants made by the OCF through December 31, 2014. Each evening session was well attended and ended on a note of heartfelt gratitude for all who contributed and continue to pray for and financially support our For Christ Forever Capital Campaign.

Thank you to everyone that attended one of these parish events or stopped by our booth at the 2015 Religious Education Congress in the Anaheim Convention Center.

Exhibit hours for our "Becoming Christ Cathedral" exhibit in Christ Cathedral Cultural Center are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday thru Saturday. Reservations are required for groups of 15 or more and may be made by contacting   Trudy Mazzarella at 949-375-5763.

TWO REASONS TO SAY ... THANK YOU!

1. Thank you to everyone that supported and voted for the Orange Catholic Foundation (OCF) in the Orange County Register's Golden Envelope Program!

The OCF got the most love in this year's selection of designated charities to benefit from the Orange County Register's Golden Envelope program. We received nearly 11 percent of the 29,435 votes cast, resulting in $81,518 worth of "free" advertising.

2. Thank you to the Sponsors, Patrons, and guests who supported our 13th Annual Conference on Business & Ethics! The net cash proceeds exceeded $280,000. This amount includes $108,370 raised specifically for our Sponsor our Students program.

These funds will be used to support tuition assistance for  our Catholic elementary school students in the  2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years. A portion will also be invested to grow the School Tuition Assistance Endowment Fund managed by the Orange Catholic Foundation to ensure the long-term sustainability of our schools.

Visit our event website for more information and videos of keynote speakers and honorees.
