CLASS POLICIES
You may register for classes in person or by calling the shop at (614) 734-0618. We require that you make payment in full when you register.
Supplies
Unless we specify otherwise, such as including supplies in the cost of the class, we expect students in our classes to purchase their yarn and other class supplies at Knitting Temptations.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
Class offerings and dates are subject to change, so please check the Events Calendar for the most up-to-date changes or additions to our class schedule. Also, Knitting Temptations reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a class and our intention is to always give plenty of notice. Also, we understand that sometimes unforeseen events in life occur that make it impossible for you to attend a class for which you are registered. As a courtesy our instructors and other students, please contact us as soon as possible.Skill Levels Use the class level and prerequisite information to determine if a class is right for you.

GETTING STARTED
BEGINNER CLASSES
BEGINNING KNITTING 101
$25 - all supplies included
One 2-hour class
Instructor: Megan Bohlander or Kristen Bucci
Skill level: Beginner Knit
As the name implies, Knitting 101 is for the Complete and Utter beginner! In this single class, you will learn the knitting basics of how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. We loan students the needles and yarn to learn and practice in class. By the end, you'll be ready to make a simple project on you own. For further learning, take Knitting 102.

EASY DOES IT!
BEYOND BEGINNER CLASSES
BEADED INFINITY COWL
$25 - pattern included; supplies extra
One 2-hour class
Instructor: Megan Bohlander
Skill level: Easy Knit
This one-skein wonder is a perfect introduction to adding bead work while knitting. Students will learn to apply beads with a crochet hook as they knit this fashionable cowl. Knitters should have knowledge of knitting in the round, cast-on, bind-off, decreases, and yarn over.
Supplies needed include:
- 1 skein of Malabrigo Lace or Silkpaca, 420-470 yards or appropriate lace-weight substitute (gauge: 7 to 8 sts per inch)
- 24" or 32" US 8 and US 9 circular needles
- Size 14 steel crochet hook
- Approximately 728 size 8/0 seed beads. Note: Knitting Temptations does not stock beads -- find them at 1 Stop Bead shop.
There is pre-work for this class that must be completed BEFORE class, so please plan accordingly -- prior to class:
Cast on 200 sts with the larger needle. Join for knitting in the round and knit all stitches for one round.

CROCHET HAT

One 3-hour class
Instructor: Megan Bohlander
Skill level: Easy Crochet
A perfect next step project after taking our Beginning Crochet class! Students will learn how to create ribbing, to crochet in the round, and to decrease. Students should have prior knowledge of single crochet and chain stitches.
Supplies needed include: 220 yds of worsted-weight yarn and size H crochet hook. Suggested yarn is Noro Silk Garden or Kureyon.

CROCHETED CHEVRON BABY BLANKET

One 2-hour class
Instructor: Megan Bohlander
Skill level: Easy Crochet

A simple chevron stitch pattern creates a beautiful baby blanket perfect for a beginning crochet project. Students should have prior knowledge of chain, single crochet, and double crochet stitches -- you will learn increases, decreases, and striping in class.
Supplies needed include: approx. 1200 total yards of worsted weight yarn, and a size J crochet hook. Suggested yarns: Spud & Chloe Sweater, Malabrigo Rios, Encore Worsted, or Cascade 220.

YARN BOWLZ

Instructor: Megan Bohlander
Skill level: Easy Crochet
Great class for beginner crocheters! If you have knowledge of the chain stitch and single crochet you can make this yarn bowl. It makes a lovely home for your ball of yarn for either a knitting or crochet project!
Supplies needed include:
- 140 yards worsted-weight cotton or cotton blend yarn
- Size G (4mm) crochet hook
- One 1/2" button

FAMILY OF KNITTED HATS
$55 - pattern included; supplies extra
Two 2-hour classes
Instructor: Megan Bohlander
Class level: Easy Knit Hats are a great introduction to circular knitting and easy to make; some to gift and some to keep! This simple ribbed hat is designed to fit many different sizes! Students learn to knit in the round, create jogless stripes, decrease stitches, and weave in ends. Supplies needed include: worsted-weight yarn in two colors (one for main and one for contrast color), 16" US 7 circulars needles, and US 7 DPNs. Suggested yarn is Malabrigo Worsted or Encore Worsted. Wednesdays, 10:30am - 12:30pm, on:
Class 1: November 20 Class 2: December 4
CABLING-WITHOUT-A-CABLE-NEEDLE COWL
$25 - pattern included; supplies extra
One 2-hour class
Instructor: Megan Bohlander
Learn how to cable without a cable needle as you make project with a luxury fiber. Students should have previous knowledge of knitting in the round.
Supplies needed include:
- One ball of Cashmere Queen or at least 153 yards of worsted-weight yarn (gauge: 5 sts per inch)
- 16" OR 24" US 7 circular needle
- stitch marker.
There is pre-work for this class that must be completed BEFORE class, so please plan accordingly -- prior to class:
CO 108 sts and join in the round being careful not to twist. Place marker at the beginning of the round and begin as follows:
Rounds 1-8: *P4, K3, P4, K1* -- repeat from * to * to end of round.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF...A BIT!
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED CLASSES
* NEW CLASS *DOUBLE KNITTING $40 - pattern included, supplies extraOne 2.5-hour class Instructor: Michelle Hunter Class level: Intermediate Knit Knitting is twice as much fun with this interesting technique! Double knitting creates two layers of fabric with reversing color patterns. The warm, reversible fabric is perfect for hats, mittens, blankets and more. Students will learn to execute the perfect double knitting cast on, expert yarn strategies, chart reading and finishing techniques while creating a clever coaster. These coasters make great gifts! Class also covers design tips to create your own unique coasters.
Supplies needed include:
- Yarn - contrasting colors of Simplicity or Cascade 220
- Needles - Double knitting is loose so needles 2-3 times smaller than recommended by the yarn are required. Bring several sizes, if available - straights or circular needles. Michelle used US 4 with Simplicity, and US 5 with Cascade 220.
- Double points in same size as those used in knitting
- Blunt tip tapestry needle
- Post-it notes
