Mayor Wild Appoints Mike Londeau to

Westland's Parks & Recreation Advisory Council

Westland, MI - Mr. Mike Londeau was appointed to Westland's Parks and Recreation Advisory Council by Mayor William Wild and approved by the Westland City Council on Monday, October 7^th.

Mike Londeau is a life-long and proud Westland resident who works at Pepsi Beverages Company in Detroit, MI and is also employed by Embarco Management as a Marketing and Promotions Manager. Mr. Londeau utilizes his event management skills to positively impact the community, immersing himself in Westland's premier events and happenings.

He has served as emcee, or master of ceremonies for many of the City's top events, including the annual Blues, Brews, and Barbecue, and the Charity hockey game featuring the Westland Wild Wings versus the Detroit Red Wings alumni. He also books the entertainment at Westland's new favorite hot spot, Ashley's Beer Garden, located in the heart of the City's "Shop And Dine" district.

"I am pleased to appoint such a positive member of our community to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Council," said Mayor William Wild. "With the level of commitment that Mike has shown to our City I have no doubt he will continue to succeed in this role and help to further the excellence of our 36 parks and premier recreation facilities."

Mr. Londeau will join the seven-member board of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Council upon which he will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications for work undertaken in City parks, and volunteer for programs provided by the City's Recreation Department.
