Camp RHINO 2015

This summer, nearly 350 junior high and high school students from 10 different states will be working and playing at Camp RHINO for 7 weeks! We couldn't be more excited to host these youth while they serve Christ in the Crescent City for our biggest Camp RHINO summer ever!

Dear Volunteers, Friends, & Supporters of RHINO,

Spring has sprung in the Big Easy!  It's a time of exciting new beginnings all around, and that includes here at the RHINO office.  After a wonderful year and a half rebuilding hope alongside all of you, I have taken a new position here in New Orleans and will no longer be serving as RHINO Program Director after Friday, April 10th.  While I am sad to be leaving such a wonderful organization, I am looking forward to what the future holds - both for me and for RHINO!

As you'll see in this issue of our newsletter, we are gearing up to host our largest ever Camp RHINO summer and looking ahead to our 10th anniversary in the fall.   Take a look around, read about our progress, and see where you can get involved!

Love,

Emma C. Pegues, Program Director

A Decade of Rebuilding Hope

We can hardly believe it's been almost 10 years since Hurricane Katrina leveled our homes - but not our hope.  Fall 2015 season is already being filled with groups who can't wait to get a piece of the rebuilding hope action and celebrate a decade of God's work here in New Orleans!

Want to be one of the lucky folks who eat good food, hear good music, and do good work all on a 75 degree November day?  Then head on over to our website and get your deposit in before it's too late!

RHINO Reflections

We love our volunteers! Here are a few of their wonderful comments about their experiences rebuilding hope this year.

"People at RHINO are always welcoming, friendly, outgoing, helpful...I could go on and on." - Laurel, MD volunteer
