[Fresh] CD's are traditionally perceived as "guaranteed" rates of return from banks... and when one local bank up's the interest they are willing to pay on that many investors flock to them to gain the edge the market didn't have prior... in Iraq's case they will be paying much higher interest compared to any other country on their level and have the attractive things like oil, gold, no debt, etc to provide assurance
[Fresh] let's say the going rate is 3% if you walk into all the major banks, a local bank will often try and up it a little to say 3.1% ... this get's customers in the door depositing money (dollars in our case, dinars in Iraq).. you are willing to try the newer bank out because you are generating an additional .1% from the market...

I, too, would like to have received the rv and been able to exchange our currencies, not because I have been an investor for ten years, but because there are many of us who financially need it to help put nutritional food on the table, pay the mortgage, electric bills, car insurance, life insurance, medical bills, etc. Purchasing gifts for Christmas would be great, but having food for Christmas is more important to me. I would be saddened not to be able to bless the many people that are on my list. Blessing those persons to me is more important than becoming a millionaire or /billionaire.
