Support Wayland Girl Scouts by participating in Dining for Dollars at Bertucci's on Thursday, November 19 from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm. Mention the Wayland Girl Scouts when placing your order, and 15% of your purchase total (before tax and gratuity) will be donated to the Wayland Girl Scouts. This includes dine in, carry out or delivery.  Please support a great cause and take a break from cooking on Thursday.  Thank you!
Put the Giving Back in Thanksgiving through the Parmenter Food Pantry

Two Ways You Can Give!

Cupcake Donations. In the spirit of the giving season, Amy's Sweet Solutions will donate a dozen cupcakes to the Parmenter Food Pantry for Thanksgiving for every order of a dozen turkey cake pops received before November 21. Chocolate-covered turkey cake pops are decorative and delicious. A dozen cost $32. The goal is to provide the Parmenter Food Pantry with 40 dozen cupcakes by November 21 for its Thanksgiving food distribution. Please help! Food Donations. The Parmenter Food Pantry is seeking the following items for its Thanksgiving distribution: stuffing mix; cans of cranberries and cranberry sauce; bags of potatoes; bags of carrots; and jars of gravy. All donations may be delivered to Parmenter at 266 Cochituate Road, Wayland between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday, November 16 through Friday, November 20. Thank you in advance for your kind donations to help members of our community.

Thanksgiving Day Pancake Breakfast

The Wayland/Weston Thanksgiving Day football game is at Weston this year at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 26, and Weston would like to invite Wayland families to their Pancake Breakfast, which is being held in the Weston High School cafeteria from 7:00-10:00 am. The cost is $5 per child and $10 per adult, or $30 per family. There will be activities for young children and gluten free pancakes will be offered.

Join us during our Saturday morning Dads/Kids drop-in at the Loker gym. We open up the gym, lay out the mats, empty out the ball room and let the kids play. Dads have fresh coffee, bagels, a toaster over, and great conversation.

Children:  Make a list of those special people that you would like to surprise with a gift this holiday season. Select those special gifts at the Shoppe and then visit our wrapping department before meeting your families back in the Café. Holiday Shoppe “elves” (Middle and High School students) will be ready to help you in any way.
                                  
While the children shop, accompanying adults and older family members may enjoy complimentary refreshments and ‘select’ shopping in the Holiday Boutique and Cafe

The Holiday Shoppe is a 28 -year Council on Aging tradition. All revenues from the Children’s Holiday Shoppe benefit the Holiday Shoppe Community Fund supporting area non-profit organizations.

Annual Ski Swap

WHS Commons

The Wayland HS Ski Team will hold its Annual Ski Swap on Saturday, December 5th from 9 to 3 pm at the Wayland HS Commons. You can drop off your used ski equipment and skates between 9 and 10 am. The swap will be open from 10 am to 2 pm.  There will also be vendors selling new and used equipment. If your items sell, you will receive 75% of the sale. You can pick up your unsold items or proceeds from 2 to 3 pm. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Wayland High School Alpine and Nordic Ski Teams. Please come support our teams and get ready for the season!

Ski buses pick up at our three elementary schools at 3:05 PM, and at the Middle School at 2:25 PM. All buses return to the Middle School between 6:30 and 6:45 PM.  

This ski program is made possible in large part due to parent volunteers. Please consider being one of our chaperones this year. Two chaperones needed from each school. Chaperones ski for FREE and get FREE rentals. This year we are offering our chaperones a $100 credit toward their child’s ski program registration (one child per family).

Donate a Bike Fundraiser

Please register for this fundraiser no later than November 22 by sending an email to [email protected] with the number of bikes you are giving, your address, and confirmation of your total donation based on $30-plus per bike. Checks should be made payable to Wayland High School Boosters, indicating WHS Boys Lacrosse in the memo line of the check.  Please have the bikes in your yard on December 5 with your check in an envelope taped to one of the bikes. The Lacrosse Team will pick up the bikes throughout the day on December 5, starting at 8am. Thank you from the Wayland High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team.
