Paws4ever
There are also some special things to say about the Mebane TTouch Training. It's held at Paws4ever, an animal shelter and sanctuary with a 50 year history of animal advocacy in the Chapel Hill area, which, in addition to it's first-rate Adoption Center, has a large indoor training facility. Here's why you might want to come:
* The training center provides a very comfortable learning environment for both human and dog students. For the humans: It's bright, has safe comfortable flooring, a kitchenette for snacks and lots of space to work in. For the dogs: The main training room has three doorways, which makes it easy for shy or reactive dogs to avoid running into tricky situations.
* The sanctuary has a lot of lovely outside space for work or play. Time outdoors provides great downtime for both two- and four-legged students during a busy week.
* And . . . the Adoption Center is right next door! We will be able to work with the cats, (and you may want to see if there's a dog waiting for you there!)
Tellington TTouch in animal shelters
Tellington TTouch enthusiasts are committed to helping rescue and shelter animals be the best they can be - so they can quickly find forever homes. Having the opportunity to work with shelter animals is a very special experience for our students. Our goal is to not only help students learn the techniques and tools of Tellington TTouch, but to also have the chance to apply the method to working with often fearful and stressed animals, hopefully improving those animals' possibility of adoption. That is a win for all involved!
Paws4ever Adoption Center
There are lots of animals available for adoption. Here is one you may meet when at the training - and have the chance to see how TTouch might help her.

"When I came to Paws4ever, I was a mess and it took me a while to trust my new human friends and surroundings. I am much better now--although, I still like my own space!"
