Committee proposes new mission statement
Express your opinions before Nov. 13
As part of the update to the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan, the Strategic Planning Committee has worked to revise the College's mission statement and to develop the features of the mission.

Please take time to review the proposed new mission statement and mission features (below), providing comments and suggestions to Nancy Ramsey,  [email protected], by Nov. 13. The comments will be collected and reviewed by the Strategic Planning Committee on Nov. 17.

Pellissippi State Community College: a transformative environment fostering the academic, societal, economic, and cultural enrichment of the individual and the community.

Veterans Week honors vets at each campus
Honor the service of veterans during National Veterans Awareness Week, a weeklong series of events surrounding Veterans Day. Veterans Day is Nov. 11, Veterans Awareness Week is Nov. 9-15, and on-campus events are Nov. 9-14.

Activities are taking place on all five campuses.

Don't miss David Madden presentations
Faculty and staff are invited to attend two presentations by author David Madden, when he speaks at the Hardin Valley Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Madden will discuss Appalachian culture and literature and his new book, "The Tangled Web of the Civil War and Reconstruction." The event is 2-2:55 p.m. in the Goins Building Auditorium. All faculty and staff are invited, and faculty members are encouraged to bring their classes. 

The event will stream live at www.pstcc.edu/ets/livevideo.

Additionally, Madden addresses faculty members from 12:55-1:50 p.m. in McWherter 337.
