NEWS FROM THE FIELD

On November 15, 2015, the Lake Union Conference hosted a full day of stewardship training at their Union office.  Attendees included, representatives from each local conference. Dr. R. Clifford Jones, President of Lake Region Conference, gave the morning devotional. North American Division Stewardship Director, John Mathews, explained how the world's economy is about borrowing and spending, while the Biblical principle of economy is about saving and investing. Dr. Mathews completed his presentations on how to develop a stewardship program in a local church. Yvonne Collins, Chief Financial Officer of the Lake Region Conference gave the final presentation.
