I am home from a most wondrous trip to Wyoming and Colorado. I have deep gratitude for the people and the land. They warmed my heart and reminded me of the joys of living there for 19 years. I didn�t get to see nearly as loved ones as I�d wished or stand in all my sacred places. I did, however, hug and laugh with good friends and family. And, Vedauwoo held the sisterhood with love and healing.

Traveling is always more than changing physical locations. It is time travel in the way of being different and the same. I always feel like a spy, invited in by kind people, but an alien of questionable intentions just the same. Do those with even more gypsy blood than me feel this way? Do we ever feel like we belong? Do we ever really have home or do we just flit from place to place lighting just long enough to be able to take on the patterns and behaviors of the locals?

In 1990, Colorado welcomed me. Fort Collins was my community. I landed there at a time of great expansion in consciousness and population. We met, shared ideas and ideology. We laughed and helped each other as mountain and farm people do. We built a community and offered solace to weary travelers on their Spiritual path. We opened our homes and our hearts. We turned on our espresso machines and sang songs of the soul. It was a complicated time filled with history and future all layered in like a perfect Baklava.

Now I am home in South Carolina, a place that is now expanding in consciousness and population. I experience a little d�j� vu every day. My memories hold clues on how to maneuver here, what to offer and how to hold space. However, I am not as young or determined as I once was. I am mellower and driven by different desires. I hear words coming from others that I once spoke with such strength and certainty. It is my to turn to smile with understanding and love of the journey. I also hope that the frustrations are less today than they were and that the expansion is easier.

Back to my journey to my mountain home, my heart was opened every moment by the love that was present. My eyes were always damp because of the richness of conversations and the ease of being. Clients, colleagues, family and friends shared stories and laughs as if I had never been gone. My soul was healed. This trip brought peace that was needed even though, when I was making my plane reservations, I had no idea the need was so great.

It was a magical sojourn. I am greatful to all of you who took the time to share precious and profound moments with me. I carry your love in my heart along with my gratitude for our shared experiences. Blessings and love to all that I saw and didn�t see. May your hearts be filled with the love and peace that you offered me.
