 IN THE SPOTLIGHT
To Give is to Receive: Annual Randall's Childrens' Hospital Toy Drive
Alicia Clark, CSI-EP, Programs Chair

Over 10,000 children go through RCH every year, many with life threatening illness, cancer treatments, and other medical challenges. Many are scared, some become brave and overcome that fear. They overcome that fear because of people's generosity and the love and support of their community. Portland CSI set a goal of 500 toys. Currently we have only collected around 200, so we are extending the drive through the New Year to January 22nd.

Please take advantage of the after Christmas sales, and help us reach our goal! We will be collecting them at our January Chapter Meeting, or you can drop them off at Precision Images located at 900 SE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR. You can also donate money which will be spent wholly on toys for sick or injured children.  CLICK HERE FOR TOY IDEAS >

 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
President's Message
Cherise Lakeside, CSI, CDT, Chapter President

Welcome to 2016! Personally, I couldn't me more excited about the year to come.  Portland CSI has been busy this last year.  Our $10 beer, pizza and education series has really taken off under the dedicated leadership of Jake LaManna.  We sold out almost every session this last year and provided valuable education that our members could take to work and use the very next day.   READ MORE >

New Year, New Opportunities to Make a Difference
Cherise Lakeside, CSI, CDT, Chapter President

Welcome Portland CSI Members to the new year.  With a new year comes new goals and objectives to make our chapter bigger, brighter and better than ever before.  We can't do this without you.  One of the things that makes Portland CSI's programs and education so dynamic are all of the wonderful people that volunteer their time, efforts and expertise to make it happen and we need your voice.

Are you a whiz at social media? Are you a foodie and like helping with menu selection for events? Do you have a creative itch that needs to be scratched? Do you have an interest in websites, but no venue to learn? Are you a pretty darn good photographer or video editor?

There are many ways to get involved like speaking, helping with the newsletter, brainstorming educational activities, greeting at events, participating on the Board of Directors (we are looking for 2016/17 candidates now), helping collect toys for our annual charity drive.  Some jobs are big and some jobs are small, but many hands make light work and you can choose what works with your talents and time.  LEARN MORE HERE > or contact the Chapter with your thoughts and ideas!
