International star to headline Jubilee Celebration of Life
Annual Pro-Life Dinner features actor, producer and human dignity advocate Eduardo Verástegui.
DALLAS, APRIL 4, 2016 --  On Saturday, April 16, nearly 2,000 are expected at the 23rd Annual Bishop's Pro-Life Dinner at Irving Convention Center -- the largest respect life gala in DFW. The evening benefits the life-saving ministries of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee, the Respect Life Ministry of the Diocese of Dallas.

The featured program will include the captivating presentation and testimony of Eduardo Verástegui, a singer, model and actor of international fame who was  on the verge of major stardom in the United States when he experienced a transformation that redefined his career.  "We are thrilled that Eduardo will be joining us to share his inspiring journey from secular fame to becoming a courageous voice for the dignity of every human person," said Kris Kramer, Executive Director of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee.

The evening will also honor Brandy Hayes as the 2016 Pro-Life Person of the Year. Brandy -- the youngest person and first African American to receive this honor -- is a junior at Tyler Street Christian Academy in Dallas. She is being recognized for her courageous devotion to sharing the Gospel of Life to educate teens and support mothers in need.

The focus of this year's dinner is Pope Francis's call that we all serve as an "oasis of mercy." Bishop Kevin Farrell explained how the ministries of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee serve to answer this call: "The CPLC extends the merciful hand of Christ to babies at risk, mothers in need, and those burdened by grief."
