"Our Stories" exhibit on display until Nov. 3

MAB's Our Stories Exhibit will be on display until November 3rd at the UMass Medical School Lamar Soutter Library in Worcester.

The exhibit combines stunning photography by  Meg Landers with oral histories of individuals served by MAB. It movingly portrays the story of the deinstitutionalization of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from inside the movement.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Meeting on October 8th. It was a wonderful evening and we are honored to have the support of such amazing, passionate people.

From the technology demonstrations by our Occupational Therapists to the enlightening panel discussion, it is clear that modern technology will play an ever-increasing role in helping visually impaired individuals maintain their independence. It is crucial that we continue to raise awareness about technological advances and the need to make apps and devices affordable and available to all who need them.

We also recognized Community Partners who made generous contributions of time, talent, and resources to our programs.

In addition, we honored outgoing Board President Craig Pfannenstiehl and elected Michael O'Friel as his successor. Michael's father Paul served on the MAB Board for fifty years and we are thrilled to have such strong leadership and commitment from another generation of the O'Friel family.

Over the past three years, MAB's revenue has grown by a stunning 50%, allowing us to enhance and expand all three of our programs. Enrollment and referrals are growing and we are fortunate to have a highly professional staff who are experts in their fields. Please take a look at our Annual Report to see how your continued support and partnership are making it possible for us to transform lives.

Looking forward, we are well-positioned to achieve even greater accomplishments in the coming years, and we will work closely with you to continue to grow and not only meet but exceed our own expectations.
