"Our Stories" Photography Exhibit

MAB's "Our Stories" Exhibit  combines stunning photography by Meg Landers with oral histories of individuals served by MAB.

It movingly portrays the story of the deinstitutionalization of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from inside the movement.

 Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays from MAB's Adult Disability Services (ADS)! As the year comes to a close, we reflect on what was another outstanding year for ADS, and we look forward to an even bigger 2015!

Some of the year's highlights include:
  • We served more than 300 adults with disabilities through our Residential, Day, Individual Supports and Orientation & Mobility services.
  • "Our Stories," our oral history project celebrating four decades of MAB clients living in the community, was exhibited at the State House and UMASS Medical's Lamar Soutter Library.
  • We made significant progress with our five-year Strategic Plan. We've recently added new healthcare services and leadership positions and are launching an ambitious staff training and recruitment effort.
  • We opened one new residence and doubled the size of our Day Program space.
  • Our MABWorks Vocational Program partnered with 27 community employment partners to help provide individuals with meaningful work that is the right fit for them.
None of this would be possible, however, if not for your support. Your contribution will help make a difference for those with disabilities and allow them to live full, satisfying lives in the community.
